For history buffs, In the old town is where Antalya's first museum is situated. A former Orthodox church that has been refurbished and transformed into a museum and research facility. You can also head over to Hadrian's Gate. This tremendous gate, which dates to the second century AD, is the only remaining Roman monument in Antalya.
Perge city is also found nearby which is well worth a visit. The most well-preserved ancient Roman city around Antalya is Perge. It is the most prominent and frequently visited ancient city in the vicinity of Antalya. The Perge ruins are in Aksu town, which is roughly 20 miles from Antalya's downtown. A great bookstore with books about this historic city is also nearby.
Another gem to visit is The Aspendos theatre which is the best-preserved Roman theater from antiquity if you wish to visit a real Roman Theater. This theatre hosts opera and ballet events at night during the summer season too.
